Beautiful in God’s Eyes

I have seen sunsets, the Taj Mahal, babies, parrots, wedding cakes, Limoges vases, hand-appliquéd quilts, royal jewels, and a hundred other beautiful things. But some things I once thought beautiful no longer appeal to me. And what I think is beautiful, you may not. Beauty, they say, is in the eye of the beholder. But what is beautiful to God?
Everything God created was perfect. As soon as it came from His lips and His hands, He pronounced it good. As a crowning act, He lovingly formed the first woman. Can you imagine the attention that was put into forming each feature of this enticing creature that God created as a friend and companion?
In Ecclesiastes the Teacher says, "He has made everything beautiful in its time" (Eccl. 3:11, NKJV). That includes you and me. We are beautiful in God's eyes because He loves us. We are beautiful because He is re-creating us in His image. As you open the pages of this book, relax and enjoy His presence. Let Him mold and form you into the beautiful character He intends you to be.
