Ellen G. White
Ellen G. White (1827-1915) has undoubtedly
been the most influential Seventh-day Adventist in the history of the church.
She and her husband, James, provided strong leadership as the church was founded
and organized in the mid-1800's. Her personal presence and her writings did
much to shape and guide Adventism during her seven decades of prophetic ministry.
Since her death in 1915 her counsel and insights have continued to direct
the Adventist Church. Today millions look to her writings for guidance and
motivation.
