Charlotte Ishkanian grew up on a small farm in Oregon. She has always had a love for writing. In college she majored in English, thinking it would teach her how to write like the authors she enjoyed reading so much. But she was disappointed-"English" meant reading, not writing. During her senior year in college, Charlotte was introduced to the Adventist message and was baptized on her graduation day. She went on to earn a master's degree in journalism, where at last she could write!
Following college, Charlotte was offered a job working at Liberty magazine. After five years with Liberty and nine years as a mom to three children, she returned to work at the General Conference, where she became the assistant editor for the Adult Bible Study Guides. Then Charlotte got a call that changed her life forever. She was asked to become the editor for Mission, both the adult and teen quarterlies. Eventually she was asked to do the "Inside Stories" for the Adult Bible Study Guides and then Children's Mission. For the past fifteen years, Charlotte has had the privilege of traveling the world interviewing people and listening to how God has touched their lives. She says, "It is thrilling work." When she isn't swamped with work, Charlotte enjoys spending time with her family and photography.
