Quick Overview

The Battle for the Bible Is . . .

The story of how the Bible was written, who wrote it, and when.

The story of how the sixty-six books of the Bible cam to be regarded as special and were brought together.

The story of how the Bible survived the centuries and how battle after battle was fought over its accuracy and, under remarkable circumstances, won.

The astonishing story of how ancient manuscripts and archeological finds, time after time, have proved the Bible right and the critics wrong.

The story of the English Bible from Caedmon of Whitby, King Alfred the Great, John Wyclif, William Tyndale, the King James Version, and J. B. Phillips–to Peterson’s Message paraphrase and Lacey’s Street Bible.
