The Embrace of God

It’s inevitable–because we live in a sinful world, we all developed misperceptions of God. Thus, we often misunderstand His words and misinterpret His actions. We might even know all the right Scriptures and still respond to Him as though He were someone He isn’t. How desperately we need to catch clearer glimpses of Heavenly Father—glimpses of . . .

  • the Father who’s never too busy for you (chapter 2)
  • the Father who hugs (chapters 3 and 4)
  • the Father who never abandons (chapter 5)
  • the Parent who is consistently consistent (chapter 6)
  • the Father who is not abusive (chapter 7)
  • the nonperfectionistic perfect Parent (chapter 8)
  • the Father who is not angry with you (chapter 9)
  • the Parent who is not permissive (chapter 10)
  • the Father who is not over controlling (chapter 11)

By comparing and contrasting various styles of parenting, sharing insightful illustrations, and examining compelling scriptural passages, Dr. Erickson leads the reader in taking a fresh look at our warm, nurturing Heavenly father. Enjoy this exciting journey! In the process, enjoy
