Quick Overview

Books have the power to change hearts, to inspire and instruct, to bring widespread revival.

But if they’re so powerful, why aren’t more people sharing them?

In these days of earth’s final crisis, God has designed that truth-filled literature will serve as printed “prophets” announcing future events, as “preachers” drawing our attention to the Lord’s soon return, and as “messengers” declaring God’s great love and mercy.

The Printed Prophets explores why literature will be so critical in end-time evangelism and how you can help fulfill prophecy by sharing it.

The question that remains is Will you share those life-saving pages?

Excellent Contribution

I have recently regained my fervor for the printed page. As a teenager, I accepted Christ through a small book entitled "Three Hours to Live" which my Grandpa gave to me while I was in jail during the summer of 1998. After being released I had the desire that others might know Christ and I employed literature many times in my effort to share with them what a precious Friend that I found in Jesus.

This book helps to solidify the revival that is taking place in my life. The author does an excellent job in explaining the key role that the printed page will play in the last days. However, his views are balanced in that he recognizes the valuable contributions of other ministry mediums.

The author also encourages those who think that literature is not having an impact on recipients. The very fact that businesses still use the printed page to advertise (in the tune of billions of dollars each year) shows the veracity of this medium.

May God help us to scatter the printed page like the leaves of autumn. This book is an excellent motivation and contribution to that end.

Tools for a New Protestant Reformation

I couldn't set this book down. And yet it is not for everyone.

It is not for the faint of heart, for the indifferent, or for those who have forgotten what it means to be a robust, vital Christian. Nor is the book simply a rote examination of the possibilities contained in indiscriminate dissemination of tracts as propaganda. It is a fast paced analysis of the mission of the Christian church in our time and what it needs in order to effectively evangelize across the exploding population figures seen around the globe.

To say that times are changing is trite and clichéd. In the flux of our times, some things transcend time, they are non-negotiable. The author expertly primes the delivery of his message with trenchant and concise illustrations to climax in a tour de force motivational impact. Some readers will be left wondering where they lost the charm and enthusiasm of sharing their faith. And I believe 9 of 10 readers will be reenergized to mobilize and regain that vitality and will take up the work the author has so ably marked out.

The book is meticulously researched and chock-full of relevant quotes by eminent thinkers of all theological persuasions.

With talk of the two historic North-American Adventist publishing houses merging in the near future, this book is must reading for all remaining personnel, from administrators to editors and writers. Rick Warren has said it is time for a new Reformation. This book shows that Adventism is uniquely and especially situated to spearhead the charge.

In a special, unique and uplifting way, this book shows how, and why now.
